The wire that leads to the h7 dipped beam. How do I determine which wire is positive and which is negative?

Many thanks

are you sure Brown is positive? Brown is negative everywhere else in the car.

that would have been a simple test but i don't have a multimeter. I read a write up on another thread and someone seemed to have the same kit as me. He had a problem, connected brown to red and yellow to black and got nothing. swapped round and it worked. I took the gamble that i'd have the same problem so i connected brown to black and it worked perfectly. I'm really pleased with the install.

thanks everyone, i've finally found my forum.

for the cars i've had it's been easy......lancerregister.com for my evos, skylineowners.co.uk for my skylines, brickyard for my transporter but it was a different kettle of fish my good lady bought an e60, it just wasn't obvious what was the best forum, well that's us here now.

thanks very much.

Mr. Bruce_Miranda is extremely knowledgeable in E60 wiring, as evidenced by his successful (and highly used) cable adapter applications.
