I've got 5% on mine. Great during the day, nearly impractical at night.

When i back out of my garage at night, i close my eyes.

For cars with light interior, 20 sides, 15 rear.
For cars with black interior, 30 sides, 15 rear.

get 35% all around. yes, I did say all around...including windshield. I think is the best, not too dark during the day, but once it gets dusk or cloudy and at night can't see inside the car.

Consider a mix of 20% and 35%. I have 20% on the side windows and 35% on the rear window. When reversing with 35% (even at night) there's hardly any impairment of visibility. I know when I had my previous car with 20% rear window I wasn't happy with it. I think I've got the balance just right (for me) now with 20% sides and 35% rear.

Thanks for the compliments on the Photo Chop, but I can't take credit. A local forum member did it for me.

I always go with tint on the light side, since I'm near sighted. (But had lasik last year.) I have a really hard time seeing at night when it gets too dark.

I got one of those semi-transparent hood/bonnet mods too.

I did 40% and love it. since it's ceramic it's just as good at heat rejection as a 30% metallic and I can still see out at night. i'm thinking about getting 60% on the windshield or that new 3M UV coating.
