You heard remus on a 06/07 530? I have one on my 530 and there is NO drone at all-it is perfect with my intake in that when you get on it-it is loud and when your not on it-no drone or anything-not sure if they had it set up right or what car you heard but on the 07 530s they sound great

if you think remus is too loud or drones then there's probably nothing else on the market for you.

Well said Jet, Remus is silent compared to other brands.

Completely agree-Remus alone would definetly be very subtle-the only thing that makes my car loud now is primarly the AFE intake-the Remus is just a nice little addition to the sound-I unfortunately put them both on at the same time so never heard either alone-but From others I have heard-it is the intake doing the screamin and roaring during acceleration and it is the Remus that kicks in a few notes in the later RPMs but during normal shifting RPM ranges the Remus is quiet as a mouse-as is my intake but seriously if you did not like Remus due to the noise factor you are SOL bro-unless you go for a full race supersprint which I heard is so loud that there is no drone because it is always screaming

Somehow I knew you'd chime in! Gotta give it up for Dinan: throaty growl when on the power and silent when at cruise (over 2000 rpm) in top gear. No irritating drone when below 2000 revs except for a gentle (and bearable) hum as you accelerate. Then once 2000 revs is reached, silence. At least that's how it is with my V8. JedPeter, do you hear/see the same things I do with your inline-6?

It's actually fine for me, but still too loud for the wife.

Remember though, I've got a wagon, and all that open cabin space makes for a LOT more noise/drone from the road.....
