Whats the correct way to choose rims for 525xi ??
#1
I want to replace the stock wheels with stylish black ones.
The manual lists this info: 17 ? 7.5 225/50/R-17
What should i keep in mind when looking for new rims? There are some variables that i have no idea about (like "offset")
P.S.
I want 17" rims. (dont ask)

To me, the correct way is to check with BMW parts, or some other source, and see what in-spec sizes are recommended for your car. Personally, I won't stray from in-spec. I recommend that you go to tirerack.com, "save your car," and check out the 17's they show as available for your car. Also, there are many technical articles of this site that would help you understand tire/wheel terminology.
