I remember once using madico metal film - it was awesome for the SUV I had.
I like the way it kept the heat out.

Huber Optic or Formula One!
Huper Optik or Formula One ceramic tints. Dye's are cheap but fade and block light but not heat, Metallic will interfere with any kind of radio reception from inside the car (radio or cell phone). Ceramic tints are the only ones that I know of that will allow radio signals to pass freely inside the vehicle and reduce the transmission of radiant heat. The down side of ceramic tints are that they cost a little more than the others.

Huber Optik and the like are way expensive. Some alternatives are showing up on the market that are easier to install and cost less for materials.

?LLumar AXCESS is another significant step forward in window film technology,? said Kent Davies, president of Solutia?s CPFilms business, the manufacturer of LLumar window film. ?Metallic and traditional ceramic films create a virtual roadblock for the car lover?s favorite electronic components. As the leader in window film product innovation, we wanted to address those problems. We engineered LLumar AXCESS to provide all of the benefits of superior window tinting without sacrificing connectivity or risking signal interruption. When we combine innovative new products supported by best in category marketing programs with our renowned quality and technical service, we are providing our customers, dealers, and distributors with a winning combination that they can count on.?

LLumar AXCESS is developed with a patent-pending technology that creates superior performance and ease of installation without causing signal interference. Like all LLumar window films, the LLumar AXCESS line provides glare reduction up to 90 percent, and solar energy rejection up to 55 percent. The film is distortion free and comes with a factory-backed warranty.
The heat reduction with this tint has been GREAT. It looks good and is optically clear. Price installed was very reasonable. See link to thread posted above for pics.
