My 545i sport came with factory 18's. Did BMW increase the sport pkg wheel size on the newer 550i?

Regardless I believe the overall wheel/tire combo diameter has not changed so every increase in rim width is coming out of your tire sidewall height to maintain constant overall diameter.
My '08 550i w/sports package came with 19" from the factory.

I'm also looking to change my wheels from 19" to 20".

Stick with 19's. Anything higher looks like you belong in south central.

=============================

...South central, (LOL funny!!), gets me to thinking: "Hey bro: do you want to buy a set of wheel spinners for you BMW from me today?" (LOL), Now I am just kidding, but I do agree that you should stay from large rims, and buy no larger than 19's, and for the reason as one guy said here at the forum that is the God's honest truth, always remember the higher you go up in rim size, then the less you will have in your side wall tire for cushion protection you have on the roadways if you should hit a pot hole, and I hope you never hit a pot hole, but especially in anything larger than a 19!

...So personally I would try to stay with 18 if possible, but I would never go over an BMW OEM 19 inch rim on a e60.

Me too. Plenty of potholes here...

- So, it sounds like almost no one is in favor of 21s for the e60. Matter of fact, a few here dont like 20s for it. Very interesting...
