Sounds lovely! It takes a while to come off revs and calm down though!!

I wish Petrol was cheap in the UK.. i'd buy a big V8 and go nuts with it too!

I knew someone would ask me about the gains. Honestly, I don't know. Only baseline I have is turkey5(torquey5) when I went up against him a couple of months back. Being that he has a modified 550i with straight pipes, he beat me good up top. I'm hoping the rematch will at least make me even with him. Not the best way to gauge gains, but it's better than nothing.

Yes, I know I should've dyno'ed the car before doing all the performance mods, but the only chance I had was canceled and I never got around to scheduling another dyno day.

I have to agree. I believe the heat soak will prevail. But it does look good.

The AFE CAI will block the hot air from the engine by the heat shield (its pretty thick) that sits behind the filter, furthermore when the hood is closed, it acts like a lid and will reduce the opening for the hot air to go in. plus the cold air that rushing into the intake from the stock airway will overcome the very minimal hot air. There are plenty of way the hot air can escape, especially when the car is moving.
