First get wheels which are around $3000-5000 depending on brand, used or new. Then I'd get an Mtech kit for around $1600-2000. Best way to start your mod

okay, i was in the same boat as you. What you can do is learn from my mistake. First thing is:
1) Rims; these make the biggest difference on the apperance of your car. Do not do anything smalled than 19s also.
2) Get window tint
3) Sprintbooster
4) Mtech kit
5) Quad exhaust
6) Hamman, ACS or Hartage front splitter
7) M5 mirrors (these are really expensive, but they make a REALLY BIG difference in the appearance of your car).

I know I forgot some stuff so add on fellas!

I would go wheels before m-tech. But if you don't have the sprt pkg I would go: shadowline trim, springs/suspension, wheels, m-tech...

US sprt pkg include: shadow line trim, sports suspension (lowered), Active roll stabilization, and alloy wheels: staggered set-up. Now in the US when you order an LCI/'08 550i with sport package it comes with the m tech kit. (my 535i with sprt http://forums.e60.net/index.php?autocom=ga...h&mid=17175 and member melimel's 550i with sprt pkg http://forums.e60.net/index.php?autocom=ga...&mid=18710)

In other countries there is an M-sport package option which also includes the m-tech kit.

M-tech kit alone is the front and rear bumpers and side skirts.
