the correct wheels and tire size along with correct offset and you won't have any rubbing or need to roll fenders....there are a few member's running breyton 20" wheels without issues and no fender rolling needed...

seems like there is a ton of people here that talk about rubbing, yet tirerack offers the breytons in 20 for my car.
do you guys think would i experience rubbing in the rear if i went with the m6 offset?
i appreciate the direct info...

those indeed are the VMR V713's.
As for rubbing issues, if you get the correct offsets, you won't get any rubbing. Rubbing can happen with any size wheel. If the offsets are wrong, you will get rubbing even with a 17" wheel. Offset is the most important number when purchasing wheels. Miro 111's come in 20" staggered ET18 all around, which would be perfect for the E60's!
VMR does have 1 model that comes in 20" and it has a good offset for the E60, the VMR V714. Only come square setup though.
