They can be plug and play but a harness protects them from damage due to a power issue and also gives you a more stable power source.

My iPhone pics are horrendous. I took some yesterday but it was a long day so I fell asleep at 1800 (what a wimp lol).

Now, I am up and can't go back to sleep.
