There are many threads around here about Sprint Boosters, but in a nutshell....It's a device that you connect to the wiring behind your accelerator pedal, that speeds up the electrical impulse to the computer so the engine accelerates sooner. Its a VERY reasonable upgrade and quite easy to install. Most people around here will tell you it's an absolute "Must Have" and they are correct! So use the search feature here and then get ready for a simple EFFECTIVE mod for your car!!

I installed my yesterday. Maybe the best mod you can do for the money. It is simply awesome. I wish I had done it sooner.

It fixes the biggest complaint I have about the 545, throttle lag. BMW's should come this way from the factory.

Order it and enjoy.

I used Andy Wong at sale@partsexporter.com. Go to ebay and type sprint booster and you will see his site. Great to work with and incredible customer service.

http://www.sprintbooster.gr/en/index.php?o...1&Itemid=32

Automobiles in the 21st century have replaced the more conventional throttle cable technology for an ECM (Electronic Control Module) that translates pedal travel into electronic signals in order to provide power to the wheels.

The ECT system (Electronic Throttle Control) – also known as drive-by-wire – has the unfortunate downside of delayed throttle response and subdued acceleration, creating problems in certain circumstances such as up-hill starts, quick gearchanges, overtaking, etc.

The Sprint Booster aims to overcome this throttle response delay for ECT-equipped vehicles, providing crisp on-tap acceleration at the driverʼs disposal.
