Hey guys, I'm upgrading the rims on my 06 525i and I have a few options but I wanna know which ones you guys prefer! My car is black with the chrome strip around the windows (non sport), I would like to go with silver colored rims as it accents well with that and I don't wanna shadowline it either because I prefer the look over black on black combo's.

You can't go wrong in either series M5 wheels.

 

Hard to go wrong with Miros or M5 wheels. Not a fan of the Niche's or F10 M5 wheels. For me it's Miros if you want something that stands out a little bit, 166 M5 wheels if you want something more on the conservative side.

at the end of the day though, it's your car; put whatever wheels YOU like the best, regardless of poll results.

 

You're absolutely right about that, I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the STR 607 despite no one choosing them But it's always nice knowing what people like too!

I'm sorry I said that wrong, my mind isn't quite set, I'm pretty indecisive which is why I created this poll. Although the STR ones look different but if I see that more people like one model more, why not? I'm not buying them tomorrow the car is in storage but I wanna make a decision earlier, and as seeing as no one really likes those so far, it opens my mind more. But at the end of the day they'll all equally look amazing on the car, at the end of the day it is an E60 we're talking about

 

They're all great choices. I'd probably go with the Niche or STRs.

 

I'm with you.. going to go with Miros so far.. I love the look. Although I am considering gunmetal if I can find it. I believe it's only silver and matte black.

I plastidipped my stock wheels black, and it certainly looks great.. but maybe a little too black on black for my car. I HATE brake dust and certainly don't wash my car enough though...... The plastidip did such a great job, I figure if I go with silver and it still is too dirty looking I'll dip them gunmetal or black again.

The next decision is how big/offset. Since I have an Xi model it's not as easy of a decision. I am leaning towards a square setup with spacers in the rear (12mm is what I put on now). But I do think it's not quite filling up the wheel wells enough. Maybe with a 19X8 or 8.5 width it'll look better.
