You may need 5mm more than a 166 wheel but they WILL work. Me personally, I think they are the hottest OEM wheel out period.

I purchased those wheels for my erstwhile M3 and loved them. When I decided to move up to the 550 I looked into keeping them for the 5 series, but the offsets were way off. I concluded it would be better not to try to use them. The 166 wheels work great - no spacers needed, or in my case desired. I ended up selling my BBS M3 Competition series wheels.

I also love the CSL wheels. However, if you're interested, please buy OEM as the replicas do not concave
in as the original does. The OEM is also lighter.
Now, as I remember correctly, my style 124 front wheels have 22mm offset and the CSL comes in 44mm offset.
You'll probably need 20mm spacers to make them fit. As for the rear, you should be able to plug and play.
I just don't like the idea of 20mm spacers.

The wheel spacers tend to add an additional factor to the balance of the the wheel. Its true that only hub centric spacer should be used, but there are threads in this board describing wheel shimmering even with 15mm spacers, and so 20mm should be worse.
Further more, the lug studs will have to be lengthen in proportion to accomodate the extra thickness of the spacers. Thus weakening its integrity.
I wouldn't be comfortable in using spacers more than 10mm. This is just my $0.02

Hmm, there seems to be a lot of assumptions about what's real and what's replicas regarding the CSL type wheels. Here's what I know so far:
The M3 CSL had forged wheels (probably made by BBS).
The M3 Competition Package had cast wheels.
http://www.tcklineracing.com/ sells the BBS magnesium version.
http://www.racmonolites.com/ have another option. It seems their forge in Japan (also used by Champion Motorsports) may be BBS' competitor, so they have their own forged design, which looks almost exactly like the CSL/BBS wheels, but seem to be concaved slightly more.
Now BBS also has some other wheels that look similar to the CSL type design...
BBS RX (cast, RXII's are the 2 piece version with bolts)
BBS RG-R (forged, has a deeper lip)
BBS RC (cast with spun rim)
To summerize:
The CSLs and RAC Monolites are forged so they're very light strong.
TCKline's BBS' are magnisium so could be the lightest.
The Competition Pack and probably all ebay replicas are cast so they're heavier and not as strong.
The BBS RX, RG-R and RC look a bit like the CSL type wheels, but each are still very different.

And regarding 10mm 15mm or 20mm spacers, I think that the vibration is pretty much along the board. I dont think it is spacer size dependent, your gonna get vibration regardless.
Damn that Z4 in that site looks increddible. I saw an MZ4 today in the dealership in Interlagos Blue. Im sure its a fun car and everything but for 58k as it was optioned I think I would rather have an SC430 for 5k more
