Subject title says it all. Can you guys recommend something? I got my wheels in March and never really did anything for them more than taking the car to a hand wash\wax place.

BTW, wheels are DPE R16 V2.

Thanks!

mothers billet polish for my DPE's, works like a charm. After I polish I usually use poor boys wheel sealant, which helps keep them clean a little longer.

how about some wd-40 to clean it..definitely finish and paint friendly...I use wd-40 on my exhaust tips (as instructed by the manufacturer to do...)

do you use it with the steel wool? I can never get mine clean enough.

no steel wool (not even 0000, just not comfortable taking any abrasive to anything that has a finish and/or is coated)...just a mf cloth and wd-40...I clean the tips weekly, so not much build up and less elbow grease required.

BTT regarding the wheels: P21S always comes highly and frequently recc'd:

take a browse thru the detailing section as most detailers that post their work include what products they use...

Thanks Gene. That's what I thought about the steel wool too no matter how fine they are but seems like some detailers actually use it to clean the carbon build up.

hmmm I've never tried wd40... Maybe I will have to give that a try next time. The billet polish is nice when that mirror finish fades away, the polish along with a lot of elbow grease brings that mirror finish back.

How is the Mother's polish applied? Can you use a sponge or cloth?

if you do, I would spray on an MF cloth then wipe down your wheels, I'd try to avoid the wd-40 getting on any braking components....

English custom blend polish with a buffing powerball...don't even mess around with anything else!
