Hey I also have replica 166. Are you getting any vibrations at all. Did you use hub centric rings?

Yes I actually am getting a vibration at high speeds, do you think the hub centric rings will actually work?

In my opinion it depends on the stock color.

On black cars - esp the black sapphire metallic, the both the chrome trim, and the chrome kidneys look good and are a nice contrast.

All other cars (including coldlists carbon black), the flat black of the shadowline trim looks great.

Rizbels car looks great, but if it had the non-shadowline trim, and non-black kidneys, it would look just as good.

But thats just my opinion.

I got a nice set of Carbon fibres ones that look awesome, especially when the sun shines on em. GO carbon fiber but not the cheap china vinyl. You won't regret it.

I had OEM black grills on e63 but after a while it got boring. Everyone has them now.

For a change for e60 got full chrome grills and then painted the rounding shadowline gloss black. 20K+ km with them on crappy roads and still looks mint. This looks awesome on black/white cars. Search this forum, there was a post by somenone 3-4 weeks ago with white e60 and such grill.

I painted my kidneys 7 years & 90,000 miles ago. Zero rock chips.
You don't want to paint the chrome kidneys, though. Buy the black plastic ones and take them to a paint shop.

I took the roundings of my chrome grills to a paint shop and it is perfectly fine. Would say prime coating is a must, so don't paint them at home. Have never had any problems with painted chrome grills.
Had some rock chips once or twice, but it is normal. Sometimes you get them even on OEM chrome grills.
