How do you know they came in defective?

Probably it shows errors.
I deleted those resistors packs when I did the Ricky brakes by coding the car LM.

No the lights are fine the harness is defective since I had to clean the silicone where the harnes meets the bulb holder and tighten the connectors. Also when I did the welcome lights the driver side wasn't lighting up properly.

Just ordered these! They're having a pretty nice BlackFriday sale which is 15% off everything. So you're buying the taillights for $199 instead of $230. Pretty good! So excited to get them.

Got a chance to see them in person on Quanger's car....all I have to say is, I couldn't tell if they were OEM or aftermarket unless I'm staring at them a few inches away or trying to look for any defects. For the price of 230, I would say these are a good buy. We tried to take some night time pictures but they didn't come out too well on the iphone. The rods didn't show up, all I got are some red rear tail lights in the photos. I'll bring my Canon next time for a night shot.

Hey guys just seen this thread...I haven't logged on here for a while. These replica lights look pretty awesome and much much better than all the previous aftermarket attempts that have been around before.

As a massive fan of it, I'm gonna big up the Ricky Effect too . Clearly BMW made a major mistake by allowing their cars to leave the factory without the Ricky Effect . The OEM set up kinda looks wrong when one sees what the ricky effect accomplises. Ricky - you are a LEGEND. Thanks mate .

Here are my pics which I posted the day I got the Ricky Effect...

For anyone sitting on the fence and ''putting up'' with the OEM looks on their rear end, all I can say, GET the Ricky Effect and bless you rear end .
