What 17" Rims for a 530 xd ?

Hello! 
I need your help: pls what rims should I choose for my 530 xd 2006 model I have?
Now, I have 138 wheels with 225/50/17 tyres and I changed them already with the winter tyres so in next spring I would like to buy a new set of rims - 17" too, for my summer tyres - so I searched with tirerack and I saw I have few options:
Borbet Type TS (offset +40), SSR Competition (+44) - It should be 7,5 x 17" exactly the oem wheels, in order to be used with the same set of tyres so what should I take?
Any other ideeas? I found also ASA and AT Italia
Can I go with 8 x 17" with 225/50/17? Pros and cons facts?
or just stay with 7.5 x 17? perhaps I can find something lighter than stock! Anyone knows what weight 138 wheel has? (the rim only of course)

My Ride: 2006 530xi. Deep green with beige interior. 6 speed manual. Premium package.
the dark rims look great on some colors, so if my car was black or silver i would get the ones on the left
