Definitely go for the Huper Optik Ceramic. I paid $600 at Danny's in Scottsdale. I had the older Huper Optik on my E39, and the new ceramic makes a HUGE difference. I usually go directly to the installer and thus avoid the dealer markup. Email me if you want any additional information.

Welcome! Great to have another Arizonan on the board.

I'll check out that link. Thanks for the responses. I guess I must have missed something in the last few years. I have always had tinted windows but never paid more than about $100 to get it done. $600 seems crazy. What is ceramic all about?

I had mine done w/ the Huper Optik for $400. The ceramic does a better job of actually blocking out the full spectrum, particularly the infrared, which gives it better heat reduction that standard metallic tint. And its important for the E60 (and other models) because the radio antenna is actually in the rear window. If you put the metallic tint, radio reception will suffer. If you NEVER listen to the radio and only listen to CDs or even Sirius, where the antenna is in the shark fin, you can go with the metallic.

I got the Huper Drei at Danny's yesterday. It's awesome. Jeffnin, let me know if you want to meet up for a brew sometime. I'm in the Scottsdale area.
