I want to paint my calipers soon. My only concern is that when I re-attach the wheels do I have to tighten them to a certain point or just tighten them until they feel really tight?

Thank you

anything over 90 can cause damage. My dad (BMWTech) was telling my how they would cause the rotors to deform under heavy use when they were torqued with air guns.

According to BMW TIS: e60/e63 wheels should be torqued 120NM, so about 88.50 LB /FT, So def. dont go over 90!

So 88lbs/ft it is. Is this torque setting universal with every E60 or does it change?

Use a torque wrench and put it to 90lbs. That is what I use for my 545i
