One suggestion is to use painter's tarp to cover everything up and paint the tips while on the car - heating up the tips after the painting can be accomplished by simply idling the car. Although I'm definitely taking mine off to do this.
In your case, sounds like your exhaust doesn't have tips at all, so you should just buy black ones - I'm sure you can get some nice OEMs at a decent price from Garry of Newport BMW

BTW, looks like we're almost neighbours
(I'm in Sheepshead Bay BTW)
I tried to take off the exhaust tips last night but failed
I will still most likely buy them.
I measured theoutlet pipes and they are approx 4.5 cm in diameter with a 4 cm gap in the middle so two of these CF tips should fit.
I am going to contact the eBay vendor for more details on the CF.
I will most likely buy them and let you guys know.

I tried with a block of wood and a hammer, maybe the hammer wasn't heavy enough to knock them out, it was a relatively small hammer.
Will either get a bigger heavier hammer or when the tips arrive pop down to the exhaust shop, its only 5 mins from my house n get them to change them over.

Not a huge fan of the CF tips, looks a bit out of place IMO. We are working on replacement tips in brushed, polish and matte black that will work on your factory exhaust. We hope to have them in the next few weeks.
