Sorry for the signature....but that is actually wrong. When I purchased the car, I was told the drop was a coilover, however, I think springs were only installed...
So, I would like to go the coilover route but heard that is a little expensive...what is the ballpark price here?

My Ride: BMW
Model Year: 2006
I have the KW V2's installed on my '04 545.
I wanted a drop on my ride, but was a bit nervous I was going to be giving up ALOT of ride comfort.
This was not the case.
I am extreamly happy with my KW's.
The drop hight is adjustable, (Summer set up, Winter Set up)
and the KW's suspention is adjustable, I have a comfortable ride, not too stiff, but I my car does handle so much better around the corners.
If you are looking to have your ride hight even all the way around, and you are considering going with coil overs,
I would suggest IMHO going with the KW V2's.
Hope this helps and let me know which way you go with it.

Don't mean to hijack, but when you adjust the height for the season, is this something you can do yourself (fairly easily) or do you have to have a shop do it?
Thanks,
Balbs
That is an interesting drop you have there which leads me to think you already have coilovers. A set of springs shouldn't lower your car like that unless like Sam mentioned, aftermarket springs in the front and maybe oem sport springs in the rear. I don't know what else would cause the fronts to be that much lower than the rears besides coilovers, non matching springs, or springs ment for a different car.
This is something you can do on your own. You would need to remove the wheel and adjust the perches with the included wrenches. In the picture below, the perch is the black piece that the spring sits on. The shock body is threaded so depending which way you rotate the perch it will lower or raise it.
