I currently have a E60 535D M-Sport with 18inch wheels. Absolutely no idea what my wheels are called but here is a photo:



I've been offered M6 wheels with the original M6 tyres. Would they fit my car or would I need to do anything special before fitting them? I tried to read the threads on offsets and changing tyres but got very confused.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think the tyres is to big for the E60 (wrong size of the tyres). With 19" wheels, you need 255/35 ZR 19 and 285/30 ZR 19, not 255/40 ZR 19 and 285/35 ZR 19..

I think they are coming off a M6 with stock tyres; could someone confirm this about the tyres please?

 

recommended tire sizes i believe are 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear.

 

I don't they the tires will fit your 535... I'm currently rolling with a set of OEM 650 wheels/tires and they do rub quite a bit in the front.

 

I currently have the wheels off of an M6 on my '04 e60 and have no rubbing issues with the 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear all-season Pirelli tires. The original M6 tires are definitely too big for our cars as I found out first hand.. I recently downsized to my current tires after lots of wheel well rubbing upon hitting bumps and dips in the road with the original M6 tires even after flaring the rear fender lip. These wheels are definitely unique here in Chicago land!

The wheels will fit but you WILL need new tyres, above is the 'official' BMW size but the 255/35 & 285/30 mentioned earlier will probably also fit OK.
