I needed an update. I had the M5 Mtech front bumper and while on the highway something kicked up from the car in front of me and put a softball size whole through the bumper next to the right fog light. Needless to say I had to fix it so I decided to get what I really wanted.
The build and shipping time for Wald is 2 months!!! Patience is hard to come by when waiting for a car mod.
Love NY but the need for the front plate ruins front bumpers. I went 1 day without the front plate and got a ticket for $65!! With my hand forced I had to choose. I didn't want the center license plate, felt it took away from the bumper.I didn't want the Altec Power Show and GO plate holder because the bottom vent would have to be cut for the plate to slide through. I went with the US Mill Works side mount. The quality of the US Mill Work plate holder is great!!!!
The Wald bumper quality is top notch. I couldn't be happier. Excuse the pic quality, they are iphone with macbook touch-ups.

The bumper looks wonderful, I really like it! Ok, for the mounting of your tag, to each his own and of course person likes. I really think the center mount would look much better. To me it looks like you just slapped that tag up there temporary...

I've had the bumper for the less than a week and have scrapes under the center portion already. The pics are deceiving, it looks lower in person. All ramps/driveways need to be taken super slow on an angle to prevent scraping. If I put the plate mount under the bumper it will get torn off in a day. Lol. I'm open to suggestions cause I agree the current mount takes away from the overall appearance.
Ah yea don't wanna do that..
As car as cutting the mesh out.. If it's done right there shouldn't really be a gap..the top of the plate frame fills in where the hole is when retracted. And if it's just the thought of cutting into an expensive bumper.. The mesh is pretty cheap. At least for the normal lci and m5 mtech bumpers.
Should still look really clean.
