VRSF downpipes fit E60 535xi? Yes, apparently they do!

Just received confirmation from Tiago at VRSF that their 535i catless downpipes indeed fit the 535xi with "some clearancing of the pipes around the bell housing." A nice option at $399. Plenty of 1 and 3-series guys using the VRSF products and have nothing but good things to say about them.

What the heck does that mean.. "some clearancing"? ie barely fit? Or needs more modification?

You would have to ask Tiago specifically. What it sounds like to me is that a few minutes with a grinder will save you $700 on downpipes.

To me it would make more business sense for VRSF to grind them for customers with 535xi and advertise them as such.

I agree... maybe I should offer my car up to Tiago for a guinea pig... last I remember they were a few towns over..

But I'm really done going crazy on my car.. I'm ok with just the jb4 etc and I'll leave it be.

I would love to know this as well!! I really want downpipes but am having a hard time justifying a 1,000 dollar price tag... Please keep me posted if this is confirmed.

i think he is saying that you have to grind it away on your car, not on the downpipes

i don't think there is anything you can grind on the downpipes

I emailed and asked. Apparently you dent one of the downpipes and then they will fit.

Yikes, DENT one of the pipes? Won't that interrupt the flow of the exhaust out of the pipes?
