Just received my video interface for the e60. Dropped on it for a good price on eBay, ended up getting it for £110 after abit of negotiation:

It looks pretty good quality, hopefully it ends up being good. Gonna endeavour to fit it next weekend, weather permitting!

I intend to splice the audio into the auxilary input and for the time being play videos from my iPod, until I drop-on a decent slimline DVD player.
Does anyone have any recommendations for another video source, DVD player or DVB box?

don't bother with the dvd players unless you have a lot of DVDs. Best to go with a HDD player that gives you full DVD menus. Dont buy the cheap ones from ebay because they dont treat dvd files as a dvd but instead as a bunch of video files.
This is what I use http://www.argosyusa.com/hv256t.asp?DefaultTab=0 when playing you would never guess its running from a hdd instead of the actual disks.
