Wonderful acceleration, why pay a lot of money when power box give more pleasure. If there isn't engine problem why not. I have the same car than you with power box "POWER SYSTEM". I live in Belgium like you et je parle Fran?ais.

I say again, powerboxes are certainly not good for engines. Otherwise why are all major tuning companies choosing the ecu remap method?!

Today there are two way to increase power engine. Power box and remap the ECU and there are power box which respect builder tolerance, and with kind of power box no problem for the engine. I sell this kind of power box, but i don't know the power box of Pattle and perhaps that with 100hp more it could have engine problem but when increase of 100 hp by remap the ECU you could have the same problem. But it's easier to install a power box and it cost less than a good remap.

of course there are a lot of people who earn a lot of money because of the high prices for a ECU chiptuning
(about 1000? for max 1 hour of work)
that is of course why they try to do everything to critisise the powerboxes

i had both : on my former 530d i had a professional chiptuning... but above 30?C ... i lost 50% torque between 2 and 3000 rpm!
this powerbox works very well and always a smooth powerspread
i am driving it for more then 15000km now without the smallest problems ... exept that i am eating my tyres!

The big difference beetween power box and a remap is that with a remap you can increase the turbo charger pressure, a power box never increase the turbo charger pressure. People who sell power box defend their product and the pro remap defend remaps.
But your power box, Pattle is incredible or the Dynojet have a problem. Have you test the car without power box on the Dynojet? And how many was the original power of your car? I sell power box in Belgium, and i never have any problem.

Do you think that this dyno was not working correct?
I did it at a Belgian Chiptuner : CTH
The guy claimed indeed that this power was to the limit of its installation and that there could be some incorrectness.

video 0-250 remapped 535d-dyno_535d.jpg

I didn't check the car without the box, but i think that it was normal, as all my acceleration times were equal to the bmw times.
I normally didn't plan to go to the dyno, but as my car felt so damm strong, i decided to test it.
Do you know a dynojet wich should be better?

But of course: my accelation times are not lying:
0-100 : +/- 5.5 sec depending on the grip
0-160 : 12.5 sec
0-200 : 16 sec
0-250 : 35 sec
times with chronometer and on the speedometer (not GPS)

as you are apparently experienced .. how much pk/nm do you guess this would be.
Do you have similar times with yours?

I will compare with my car but i never test it on Dynojet. There is a dynojet (Bosch) at Ingelmuster Vandenabeel or not so far from BMW Monserez Mouscron front of Peugeot. With 100 hp more what i don't understand is that the car must pass on mode security and the engine switch of automaticaly to avoid to break something, this is the BMW tolerance. Those tolerance with a remap, we don't respect them and go over, what can dammage an engine.
