What I found perusing bimmerfest. Good news to some, too late for others. Here is the link.
When he says "interest would be in this forum and invite enthusiasts to contact us via email on nik@vf-engineering.com and post questions here", he means over on Bimmerfest.com, b/c they're a pending sponsor.

Hey guys,
It has been quite a while since we have posted. Some may be aware that we were working on a 645 (N62) supercharger kit using a centrifugal supercharger and charge cooler manifold to fit all 5/6/7 45/50s. After spending close to $100K in R&D for this project we put the R&D on hold for a year but after re-evaluation decided to revive our plans for forced induction on the N62 V8.
Instead we have finalized plans with an OEM vendor to co-create an Eaton roots supercharger system design with integrated air/water cooling. As with all our kits, flash programmable software is being created by GIAC USA. More details will be announced in due course. Currently our schedule indicates a running production kit on our demo cars by Apr 08 and production release soon after. We are currently completing the CARB application for our existing forced induciton kits and expect this new V8 kit will also be approved.
We are interested to learn what the demand and interest would be in this forum and invite enthusiasts to contact us via email on nik@vf-engineering.com and post questions here. Please note, this kit will not fit the M62 on the E38/39 540/740.

Above/Below> our first design (2 years and 100K spent)

Eaton roots supercharger design created by our co-development partner for OEM Auto maker. The same project is being extrapolated for the new VF N62 supercharger.

I do not like it at all. If they are using a root supercharger then they are adding stress to the engine and should at least upgrade the cam shafts due ot the added stress upon them. I personally like the centrifical supercharger better because it is less stress on the engine and its nicer looking package under the hood. I also will talk to my friend who is a race car mechanic and engine designer get his impression.

Tell VFE to develope FI for the E60 M5 and do it quick before I go get the ASR Stage III NOS system.

Not sure what VF numbers are but using my own calculation 6psi should put you in the 430 whp range. If you used 9 psi it would put you in the 460 whp range.
430 WHP should be 470 at the engine and 460 500 .
Honest .
