The car with the M5 grill is from Platinum Motorsports in Hollywood. Comparing the two pictures, it would seem not only do the rims look different but the side skirts as well. In the camera phone picture, it looks like M tech side skirts whereas in my picture it's kinda hard to tell if it's stock or not (I think it is M tech). It's probably due to the lighting and the color of the car.

Another difference is that the camera phone picture, he is badged. Last time I saw the car with the M5 grill in Hollywood, it was debadged b/c I ended up asking the owner what model. I believe it was still debadged when he took it to bimmerfest.

I know for a fact I saw on his plates "Platinum Motorsports." He might have changed them on the way back home. Now that I think about it, the first time I saw his car I remember his diffuser being distinct from other M tech rear diffusers I have seen. At that time, I just thought that since his car is white the diffuser is more pronounced.

Consider me confused again
Those are NOT the same car ... different wheels, diffuser and side skirts.....

Oh and I'm feeling strangely drawn to your posts at the moment .. perhaps it's you avatar

Same sideskirts. That's how the M Tech skirts look at those different angles. Still don't know if it's the same car but I'm betting that it's not.

And yes, I think I'm in love with that avatar. No offense if it's your significant other....

BTW jiio, off topic but I'll be in San Diego for my sales kickoff from May 6th-13th. What are some good clubs down there? Want to drive me around in your E60? hahaha

My friend, you have asked the right guy about clubs! I drag my g/f clubbing all the time. In San Diego, the best dance club would be "On Broadway" on the corner of Broadway and 6th st. It's got 5 dance floors and very upscale. Plays all kinds of music: house, trance, 80's, hip hop, mash. The newest is Stingaree. It's a lounge, never been there but I've heard that high profile people go there i.e SD Chargers players. If you like the rave scene, then 4th & B is your best bet. All clubs close here at 2am except for 4th & B which close at 4am. Let me know what your music and scene preference is and I can point you in the right direction.

As for the avatar, it's Korean model Sung Hi Lee. I wish she was my g/f. But, the one I have is easy on the eyes too!

OOOHH...thanks for all the info. I forgot about 4th & B. I remember hearing about big parties there from Rubber (Pimp n' Ho) and they've had good DJs there before. I'll definitely check it out, especially since they stay open late... On Broadway sounds cool too. What do you know about Diezel? They were at the House of Blues this past weekend. Do they move from club to club or do they have a home base there? Also, what nights are good for those clubs? I'm planning to party Sat and then the following Thu and Fri.

I've heard and seen pictures of Sung Hi Lee so I'm surprised I didn't recognize her. She's HOTTTT!

Let's move this over to lounge. I'll create a new thread there.

I am considering adding this now but I wonder if it'll be noticeable with black paint. Also, would it look better if it was combined with a quad exhaust or just the dual?
The link I posted on page 2 of this thread has pics of the diffuser on a Carbon Black E60 with quad exhaust...

Sorry, I did look at that. My monitor at work is hazy so I was going to look at those pics from home but forgot. Thanks for reminding me. I also still waiting for pricing and will decide. Makes me want to get the front ACS splitters also but at some angles, they look awkward to me.

I agree with you about the ACS splitters, not a fan of them at all. It looks like those "fighter" kits for Hondas and what not - no offence to any members that do have the splitters installed on their E60.

As for the rear diffuser, I'm kinda on the fence. A single dual exhaust kinda throws off the symmetry of the diffuser. However, judging from the cell phone pic, it looks great on Alpine White It might look better/worst on different colors. Until we see other E60's with it, we won't really know. So on that note... who's pulling out their credit card?

Here's a picture of the diffuser on a black car. I believe it belongs to forum member OldDD. Thanks to jet190rs for providing the link.
