We have recently been sent 2 samples of Taiwan made A/V Interfaces. We convinced the mfr. to add the Aux-In connection as well for the MP3/Ipod players. The interface will be for sale in the USA for about $400 - next week we are supposed to receive 2 samples of made in Korea Interfaces that even have the VGA connection to use for your laptops, etc. Of course, both interfaces support 2 AV IN/OUT, Audio Out L/R, Rear Camera, 2 Headrest monitors, as well as DVD playback on the NAV Screen of the E60. any questions, let me know. Price est. for the latter about $450

how do we control the inputs via IDRIVE?

Does it work w/o Navigation ?

How does it compare to DENSION ICE 500?

Yes, it works via I-Drive
It works without NAV
There is no comparison as these are far advanced and more functions

Nice... how complicated is that install? does it connect via Fiber connector in the Glovebox? used for CD changer?

Pics would be helpful..

Does it have USB 2.0, so we can hook up USB 2.0 Harddrives and play media files ?

From the pics of the unit looks pretty much like iNAVTV2Go module.. not sure whats difference here..

But, I am leaning towards Dension 500 ICE since, they have IPOD connector, USB 2.0 port (so u can hook up hds and browse mp3s), Fiber optic audio connector (soo quality unless unlike AUX), Also has AUX port for non-IPODs, Easiest to install (its pretty much true plug/play), connects to Fiber optic connector in glovebox.

Wish it had video, i would be all over it

isn't this the same thing with Dom's product? from the post, this is old tech.. nothing new.. correct me if i'm wrong tho... in my opinion, i'd rather go original BMW ACM Module.

I think VGA option is the new thing (that is soon to come), but other than that, everything else is same.. even the modules look same. They both probably get it from same manf.

At this time, BMW ACM (if u want Video) or Dension ICE 500 (if u want kick a$$ audio choices) is the only way to go!
