I've searched and I know I have read it before on the forum, but does anyone in the Long Beach, Huntington Beach, Pasadena area know of a good shop to install the CDV and UUC short shift kit and the approx. labor cost? Thanks, Jim

UUC Motorwerks, 908 874 9092. There web site indicates out of stock however when I called, they said it was in stock and the site just wasn't updated yet. Don't know about installation cost yet. www.uucmotorwerks.com

I got my CDV Valve removed and it took like an hour. So it shouldn't cost more than $75 in labor plus the replacement valve if you got one, it's not necessary though. Go to Technik, formerly named Rennsport. You can talk to Sam, his number is (310)235-1065.

My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.

You can get the modified CDV from: http://www.zeckhausen.com/

The difference is suttle, but you can feel it. Most noticable when slow start parking and rapid shifting. I noticed it the most on rapid shifting, I just could not get a precise shift.

Let us know what you think of the short shifter.

Did they come out with a clutch stop yet for the e60?
