I just picked up a 08 535 and found the USB drive with aux in port inside the glove box. If I only use the USB with a flash drive, will my signal be analog or digital? Additionally, what level of control will the steering wheel controls have over the music? I have only played it with the Idrive so far.

Anyone with a source for the Ipod cord? Eventhough the car was equipped with the ports, no cord found anywhere in the car. Either they kept it or it was never purchased?

What alot of stuff to discover on this car. Worst toy I ever purchased..Ha Ha! I almost broke the door to the USB drive until I discovered the lid cover slid up.

The signal will be digital... mp3 decoding is done by the car's stereo. You will have normal steering wheel controls for volume, prev/next song, scanning, etc.

I'd try one of the sponsor dealerships. Make sure you get the latest version of the iPod cable (y-cable plugs into both USB and Aux-in ports) as early versions had issues with certain iPod models.
