Hey Jinu, welcome to the forums.
You can use the BMW iPod Interface to do it, and it's a relatively easy install.
BMW will be able to do it for you, but if you fancy some research have a read through this thread.

+1 been covered there many times.. although i would really suggest not to use the iphone unless you keep it hooked up to the car and never remove it![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)

But in all seriousness. You're right. Unless you have a good dock, then its in convienent to keep on unplugging and plugging in the phone everytime you get in and out of the car.
But since I've got a dock...

don't you have to switch to the phone/ipod everytime you get out of the car since it goes to FM when disconnected?
that's the main downside, and it doesn't continue where it was playing. But its not big deal. I love my dock.

oh you mean switch it back to the "Ipod/iphone" source?

the dock isn't the issue. my issue was having to switch back to the ipod interface since everytime you disconnect the iPhone it goes back to FM
and it doesn't pick up tracks where you left off.. Very annoying
