I upgraded the speakers in my 2008 528i (standard audio) over the weekend and I am thrilled with the results.

The installation is relatively easy and the documentation is very good. The upgrade can be completed in about two hours if you familiarize yourself with the documentation and required tools. You must be comfortable in doing this type of work (removing the front door panels). I recommend purchasing the optional tool kit as well.

The kit consists of 8 speakers total (4 mid/bass and 4 tweeters). Two pair of speakers are installed in the rear deck (left and right) and a pair in the driver and passenger doors.

The is a very cost effective way (approx $600) to dramatically improve the sound in your car. The original speaker are horrible and provided pure distortion. The new speakers provide excellent quality over the entire sonic range including tight bass, clear midrange and crisp highs. The stock radio/CD provides more than enough power for quality sound.

I highly recommend this upgrade. I am sure that this would apply to cars such as the 3 series and others.

Mark

I've seen some members talked 'bout this... you seems to be the 1st to try ... congrats!

Do they offer any matching under the front seats subs to replace?

I am not familiar with their other products. I suggest browsing their web site or giving them a call.

Nice writeup. I have been waiting to see someone install this package

- Hows your bass sound now? I bet if you threw in some earthquake SWS 8's that would complete your audio setup
