SB is for people who want their car to feel faster, buy increasing the sensitivity of their gas pedal. just push it down all the way, same effect. if you dont have a lead food, then SB is for you. I have a lead foot, my throttle is mashed to the floor A LOT. the SB would be a waste of money for me. i am one of the very few on here that are not for the SB.
it would be like putting a more sensitive dimmer switch on your lamp. it is gonna get just as bright if you put it all the way up. if you want it as bright as it can be, just turn the dimmer switch all the way up, no need to modify it.

I will be on my way home in an hour; luckily I get to play on the highway. I'm going to test this theory of losing the top 1/3. If I'm hearing this correctly, if I push my throttle beyond say 2/3 and before the "kickdown", I will not feel any additional speed???? Is this correct?

So how did this experiement turn out KREED? Top third do anything or not???
I too are small minority of hating the SB. I sold it after 3 months(and 5k miles driven with SB so I have plenty of experience). I don't like couple things about it:
1. It feels very artificial to me.
2. I lose too much small touches(meaning small throttle input). Even after months of usage, I can't control the throttle to my tasting.
3. I have an smg and I hate abusing the clutch from the start and SB makes my tranny to release the clutch around 1500-1800rpm due to stronger throttle input. Normally without SB, my tranny release the clutch around 1100-1200rpm. It just takes off like a rocket with all the tq.
4. Whenever I get into my other vehicles, I press the gas pedal sooo lightly that the car barely moves
Anyway, SB lovers can aruge that all of things I hate can cure with more proper/exprience throttle input but honestly I can't press anymore lighter than it is, so I simply sold it to another member and got the Dinan stage 3 software which was a perfect for me as far as throttle improvement goes.
