Thumbs up

Hi, The cars about 2 months old now, so it?s time for some mods! All that?s been done so far is Mud Flaps and custom POI on the navigation.

So...... Headlights:
It would appear that when speccing the car, the one option Dad didn?t tick was Xenons (meaning that for all the below, the car just has regular non-adaptive halogen lights). But from a bit of searching around, I?ve found mentions of kits from around $150.... and the BMW Xenon option was something like ?800!

As I understand it, the E61 LCI has a bulb for the Angel Eyes (Sidelights/Daytime Runing Lights), a bulb for the Dipped Beam (Low beam, normal headlights - I don?t know what you guys call it in the States) which is behind a projector lens, and a bulb for the High Beam (Full beam, for flashing people/using when there?s no-one else around) which is in a normal reflector lens.

Now over here in the UK, retrofitting HID?s/Xenon?s is a legal gray area , but as the E61 has auto-leveling suspension that?s good . But they shouldn?t be fitted in standard reflector lenses, only projectors. So that means I?m limited to Xenon dipped beam only, No Bi-Xenon.

Angel Eyes:
They?re currently a bit too yellow for me, so is it just change the bulb to a whiter (or slightly blue) one? Or can HID?s or LED?s be fitted? What size/fitment is it and what makes should I look at?

Dipped Beam:
They?re behind a projector so can be replaced with HID?s. What make/whos kit should I look at? I don?t want any error codes or have to use dodgy resistors/correction cables to prevent them, I just natively don?t want errors!

High Beam:
They?re just in a normal reflector lens so shouldn?t be replaced with HID?s. I?d want to replace them with Whiter/Bluer bulbs to match the HID dipped beams. What size/fitment is it? I was thinking of getting Osram NightBreaker?s....

Fog Lights:
HID?s in the fog lights look quite good from pics I?ve seen, so would like these too. But I read something about people having problems with them conflicting with the front PDC? What make/whos kit should I look at? Again, I don?t want any error codes or have to use dodgy resistors/correction cables to prevent them, I just natively don?t want errors!

I?ve had a bit of a search around the forums, read some good things about ?Trinity Autosports?, but most of the stuff I found is for pre-LCI cars, and ours is a 2008 LCI E61 M-Sport Touring (October build date). And from the little I know, the lights were changed on the LCI cars ......

Any answers/recommendation's would be appreciated...
TY

Anyone?

I've done a bit of searching around, and can find loads of information for prc-LCI but not much for LCI cars

From the little I've found; for the dipped beam headlight I want a HID kit (ideally with no error cancellers required) and using a D1S bulb? And the same kit but a different bulb for the fogs? And the angel eyes, I think I read they're H8?
