upgrading the subwoofers with logic7
i was reading bruce's thread about upgrading the amp and subs,
https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=47747
but i was wondering, how much more bass is there exactly, with the earthquake subs? do you feel the bass more?
also, what ohm subs, and what amp are recommended?

i thought you could still change the subs and amp with the l7??
got any recomendations for a separate sub/amp? i dont want anything big if i go that route.

honestly leave it be, idrive and l7 are the most troublesome setup for audio
it sounds good the way it is, the best thing you could do is to dynamat and insulate your car so you keep the audio from getting outside
i would get a 10 or 12" jl w3 in a sealed box with a 300 Watt amp running to it. Sounds perfect, not too loud but just enough to satisfy to you. That was my previous setup before i got a w7 which is a bit more than i need. If interested i can sell you an amp and the w3 in a sealed box. Its actually very simple to connect to and no power or idrive issues.
Yes you can add an amp and a sub to the logic 7, but not replace the logic 7 amp.

With L7 you have two options.
1. Take the output from your L7 amp, feed it to an aftermarket amp and then either drive new underseat subs or sub box in the boot.
2. Use a MOST interface that will take the raw feed from the HU and then the split signal will then be feed to an amp. That way you bypass the L7 amp completely.
