As most are aware the UK Sport Models come with 245/40/18's all round as standard. Now I've bought a set of Hartge Classics 8.5x19, and although I know all I can put on the front is 245/35/19s, does anyone know what size I could go to on the rears? With 620Nm torque going through the rear wheels, I need all the rubber I can get

My Ride: (USA) 645Ci, Silver Gray, Chateau, Cold Weather PKG, Premium Sound PKG, Sport PKG, Step, NAV [Std Equip in 645], HUD, Satellite (SIRIUS) Radio, Aux Input, Bluetooth enabled using iPhone 3GS w/ adapter cradle - Build date - 01/05, Baby delivered 2/24/05
Bridgestone, Continental, Michelin, Pirelli, Yokohama all show 255/x as being the largest on 8.5 inch. All show 265/x as requiring at least 9 inch width. You could try 265, but I suspect unusual tread wear plus other potential hazards.
