I plan on upgrading my headlight to 55w ballast and was wondering if the oem wiring can handle the increase? Or should I run an additional power relay and use the oem wiring as a trigger? I just want to be preventive and not melt the oem wires if they're not up to the task of powering 55w ballast.
This is going to be an aftermarket kit, and install is tapping into the oem wiring to get a hot source. If anyone has done this, or have any advice please let me know.
Otherwise, I was planning on adding an additional heavy duty 5 pronge relay and wiring it to the positive post (jump start post) for a source.
