GeorgieB - you seem to be all over the Combox and how it works. Now that I've got mine installed, I'm wondering how to tether my Blackberry to get internet access? What Blackberry model do you use?
in terms of the new "Office" menu options for the Combox, my iPhone4 only provides Contact info in the sub-menu and my Blackberry Torch 9800 only improves on this marginally by adding "Messages". I would love to be able to use a device that allows access to the full Office menu (Tasks, Notes etc).

guys,
I have fitted combox media in my car but not able to code it. Infact my cable wasn't able to read my TCUM module before and same error with COMBOX too.
Since its new module its not working, it must be programmed by ncs to talk to the CIC. Tool32 can talk to the module but only few calls work and rest give "IFH-009: ECU not connected or doesn't answer", even "ident" call doesn't work.
Can someone please suggest me a cable which can code my COMBOX without investing £££ in OPS unit for coding. I can hire OPS unit but then again I think anytime I want to change one option in this I want to hire it again? This is not practical. So many guys have got combox retrofit done, they all didn't use OPS.
I bought my D-CAN cable from eBay after offering $90 so its not cheap, but unfortunately can't communicate with the combox. Please help.

hello Georgieb
now i have the COMBOX installed and running with MINIMUM alteration due to my car MODEST specs
now , i missing according to your post :-
(1- SOS System failure
2- missing function ( BMW Plugin - "...changes the iDrive screen to the same look and feel as the iPod function on an iPhone. It allows you to take advantage of all the iPod features (Genius, album art, compiling playlists, etc) that are not available via the basic USB connection. With future iPhone software updates, new features will also be available in the car. An additional benefit comes in the way of increased interface speed.", BMW
3.Video Playback - enables video playback from iPhone )
any suggestions ?
