Update my I-Drive knob??

I have the flying saucer knob on my 2004 530i can I upgrade to the leather one?
Also, if the it can how do i remove the old one?

Yes i have an 04 E60 also i've also since upgraded to an leather 08 Idrive knob. All you have to do is pull up on the sucker and it comes off. As for the install just pop it back on the way you removed it. Hope this helps

you can upgrade to any of the idrive knobs

i got the full metal m5 knob and love it, the leather one is a good choice too

This is a must-do...that plastic thing my E60 came with is U G L Y. I found my leather (OEM) one on ebay for like 50 bucks! Kind of expensive but well worth it in the end. Very simple just pop off the old, line up the slots on the new and pop it in. Good luck!
