I'd just pay a lil' more and get the real deal, the new E60 M5. As you will soon realize that lotz of people will ask you "... Is that an M5?...."

You will be tired of that question in a matter of days.... trust me... I ought to know...
Indeed true. However, ///M5 is too much car for me. I can only tap about 75% or less of its potential due to my driving ability, or the lack thereof.

I just think the regular 5ers, although nice looking, can use a bit aggressive front chin. This will balance the aggressive rear apron better, IMO. I know many people will see it as an insecure attempt to mimic something superior, in this case, the M5. That's why if I ever change my front bumper, I'd go with a tuner's rather than ///M. Change of mind I guess.

By the way. Any one on vessel "Suijin"?

[quote name='m630' date='Dec 16 2004, 03:41 PM'].. it makes the car, IMHO, and i plan to keep my E60 5-6years as it will be optioned out,? and its not just bumpers, its a complete package from interior, to exterior, steeringwheel, rims, door sills , and color choices....

a little more its $20-25K more!!!!, plus i honestly dont need 500bhp in NYC, its a weekend car, and ocassional weekend trips, plus I dont want to wait a year or two and fight for just a place as well as the premium that will be tacked on....

...and I dont think many if any at all would ask me if its an M5, the difference in stance and presence is enormous, IMHO, and its a completely different kit,

BUT, YOU WOULD KNOW you have a real nice signature

anyone who even knows what an M5 is or looks like will not mistake it for mine, im not a pretender and dont do things just for 'show' if you know what I mean...I just love the M-sport pack, it really changes the entire look of the E60, and the nice interior options are great as much as the aero kit and rims

so for me its a show stopper at this point....I will either be able to get an M-Sport or i'll probably go with an E63...

Its just annoying the BMW NA wont give me the choice and thats the bigger issue...

Yeah.... I'm with you there, man.

It's not like you're taking a Mazda and cutting out the quarter panels to install the slatted M3 grill thingys on the sides.

THAT is a total poser move.

At least you have a BMW....

Update on 5 series M sport package.-breyton_e60_1.gifWhat about Breyton's e60 front lip. It is different from the M5, but looks more aggressive than OEM. I just ordered one.

its very nice, definitely, and your car's gonna look sweet with it on....I dont like to compare because this is completely subjective to your feelings an opinions so I would not want anyone to take offense

....post some pix when you get it done

The M-sport front is not the M5 bumper...

check out the member photo galleries and look at the M-Sports, there is NO comparison, IMHO

and also keep in mind that this is an entire package including a different steering wheel, and door sills, and roofliner, rims, suspension, and interior strips, etc, etc, etc,

i want all of the options, not just the aero kit ...
