Cool.? No problem.
One last piece of advice to make the job even easier...use WD-40 on the OEM hanger to slide it out and spray some on your newer (smaller) hanger to slide it in. (Geez, that sounded kinda like a script in a porn film)

I talked to my muffler man, Greg, at Mighty Muffler in Phoenix. He recommeded no more than a quarter inch "raise, " but said half an inch might be OK. He didn't have anything that would raise the tips either distance. I went by Auto Zone and found some o-rings that would raise it about a quarter, but I am not sure doing so is worth the trouble. I might try a half inch raise if, and when, I bump into the right rubber pieces. Centurion, have you raised yours for sure? If so, would you post a picture or so similar to those I posted (or direct me to them on-line) to give me an idea about how much the appearance changes? Thanks much. No hurry.

I also measured the tips...

The gap at the top is 1.3cm.
The tips stick out 1.2cm from the end of the car.

Thanks much. They look great. I may try to move mine up a little. But, I am not motivated to do it for 1/4 inch. Have you every had a problem with your tips hitting the top of the cut out--e.g., after a dip or a bump, etc.?

No, but ever since I installed this, I've notice a banging noise at the rear. J/K

Seriously, there's no hitting or banging of the tips against the car. This is simply because the rubber hanger I'm using has a slot for both prongs. The best way I can describe this is...the hanger is shaped like the number '8'. The prong underneath the car slips into the top hole and the prong from the muffler slips into the bottom hole. So there is still some rubber between them. This is perfect because it acts as a bumper.

So in effect, the piece acts as a hanger-bumper.

I had my cousin drive my car in front of me while I drove his car following behind. I didn't notice any swinging or unneccessary movement of the tips. When the car took a dip, the tips moved with the car as a unit.

My B&B required a newly fabricated mount (although a smaller rubber hangar may have done the trick). Mine were hangin' low as well so the mount point was modified and all is well.
You can always try a hose clamp around the stock hangar to "squeeze" it thus bringing the tips up, but it is really a bandaid. At least you could see how it looks tighter to the bumper.

(If only I got a commission for every B&B on this board...)
One of the most hit files on my website is the B&B clip.

Thanks again. I also bought a hanger/bumper like you mention that would get me 1/4." I am going to look for one that will get me 1/2" tomorrow at other auto supply stores.

Thanks for the suggestion. I probably won't try it though. I am looking for a permanent 1/2" solution. But, honestly, I think my tips look very good the way they are.
