AWG: lol... yeah, quite honestly, there is no doubt that this is no drive-by project. If I didn't have utmost trust in my buddy that he can fix anything, I probably would not have attempted this. And really, I wish I had taken some pics. It probably would give a better idea to how nasty soldering the housing off really is, hahaha.

But hey, the end result is awesome, and that's what matters!

CWS530: lol, good one.

I don't want to get into this whole potential flame discussion, but I do think my kit from John is pretty clean and points low. I've only had one person high beam me once (across the waiting stop light), which I imagine the person probably just thought I had my high beams on.

Lol... looks like I advertised quite well for Umnitza... they should be paying me, hahaha.

But lol's aside, I think these are the brightest rings I have seen on the road. There are no E60s I have seen in person that has brighter AEs than these Orion v2.

Yeah I got a ton of people to buy the m5 rears for umnitza, since I was the first one to order and install it. I had the umnitza angel eyes on my maxima previously and they were very bright. That project involved cooking the lights in the oven and opening it up. I probably took those headlights apart 5 times so I'm familiar with the process, though I know the e60 headlights are a little more involved. I got those headlights down to about 15minutes for opening them. You burn the hell out of your hand with that hot seal though.

Yah, I think relatively, soldering the housing on the E60 is more intimidating. That's why this will probably not a DIY for most people. Like I said, I probably should've taken some pics during the process, but I guess I was too anxious to just get it together and forgot about it.
