I believe, but not totally sure, that the side skirts from Garry are $600 including shipping. It's been a few weeks since I asked for a price. I was thinking I would be better off buying the whole kit from Tischer who has it for $1,299 plus $150 shipping. But, having said that I am very interest in Umnitza's product.

The E 60 Front M Tech Poly Front Clip seems to be a good deal at $ 350.00. Course it needs to be painted. Has everyone used them? Thanx DTD

What is Polypropylene or PP?
Polypropylene (PP) is a linear hydrocarbon polymer, expressed as CnH2n. PP, like polyethylene (see HDPE, L/LLDPE) and polybutene (P, is a polyolefin or saturated polymer.

Polypropylene is one of those most versatile polymers available with applications, both as a plastic and as a fiber, in virtually all of the plastics end-use markets.

Automotive use
In the automotive sector PP is utilized as a monomaterial solution for automotive interiors. The monomaterial dashboard is becoming increasingly achievable, PP film cushioning, film skins, and powder slush molding and even blow molded parts with integral PP textile covers are emerging.

Bumpers, cladding, and exterior trim are also available manufactured from polypropylene. Polypropylene developed for such applications provides low coefficient of linear thermal expansion and specific gravity, high chemical resistance and good weatherability, processability and impact/stiffness balance. Improvements with color-at-the-press and pre-colored PP have also reduced or eliminated the need for painting in some applications.

PP does not present stress-cracking problems and offers excellent electrical and chemical resistance at higher temperatures.

Benefits:

*

Improved Aggressive Look
*

Aerodynamic Improvements

Any word on when the whole kit will be available? I sent them an email last week and have not received a response. If I hear the whole kit will be available soon and that it will be less than purchasing the pieces individually, I may give it a try.

Also, any one have any experience with this product compared to the OEM M-Tech? I just spoke with a guy I use for body work and his cost will be based upon the hours needed to paint & install. He said that a lot of young guys bring him in poor quality kits for Mits Eclispe & Honda Civics, and it takes 10 hours to do the job. He is hoping since this is for a BMW that the kit will be higher quality. If the OEM kit is so much better, than it may cost me the same in the end if it takes the body shop less time to install.

Tischer has the M-Tech kit for $1,299 + $150 shipping.
