Umnitza Fog HID kit

Hey guys,
Got a HID kit of 35w from umnitza for my pre-LCI 2005 E60 520d fog lights and was wondering if anyone ran across any trouble while installing it.
Basically all hooked up the right way around and I get no light from the bulbs + iDrive errors for front left/right fogs.
Now the kit is CANBUS (error free) so it shouldn't need extra cancellers which leads me to believe the kit might just be faulty. Is this a common thing?
Has anyone installed one of these kits and had any trouble with it?
