actually there is...kinda of the same reason why you have OEM 166's and not rep 166's.....

but to umnitza...it does look good

Im interested in the ease and quality of paint on non-OEM parts. My body shop charges extra for non-OEM because they say they require more prep work than OEM. You could be spending the difference you saved from OEM in extra painting costs. I'd like to hear from someone who has had a non-OEM bumper painted and if they paid more or the paint job doesn't last as long.

So can you get an m5 rear with a dual diffuser for 2 mufflers? That or the mtech rear for a quad exhaust set up. And what is your shipping to Canada like? Calgary, Alberta to be exact

Except for the sides, nothing can be shipped across the border cheaply.
BAX = $300 for a bumper
Fedex = $250 <-- don't use them.

So get it shipped to a US address.

I'll let you know on the M5 rear - it doesn't look like it's on the packing list.

I'm fairly handy so this is a pretty straight forward DIY project, right? I'd be interested in the front m-tech bumper and likely the side skirts as well. I guess I'll have to check with one of the local body shops about the paint.

While we're on the subject, why would someone want the M5 bumper instead of the M-tech bumper? The only difference I can tell is that you get to keep your fog lights (if you want) with the M-tech, whereas the M5 bumper you can not. Are there any other differences?

Perhaps someone who has done an install of the M-tech or M5 bumper on a non-M e60 can chime in. I'd assume both of these products from umnitza bolt right up...correct?

thanks!
