I came into this thread expecting some James Bond-like device, or perhaps something out of Home Alone.

But damn - if I saw that slithering around the inside of your car, I'd back the hell away in an instant! And I like snakes.

this is awesome! i think my best anti theft is having a Manual Car in NYC..

Hah. I actually saw something related to this on the news a few weeks ago. Guy was carjacked at gun/knife/someweapon-point, asked to hand over his keys and walk away. He does so. Neither of the two thieves knew how to drive a stick. They ended up leaving the car and running away. Guy got his car back unharmed.

+1 One doesn't need to be bright to wield a weapon, but drive a stick??
