My Ride: Mystic Blue Nov 2004 5.30d SE :: Bluetooth :: Prof Nav :: TV :: Auto :: Beige Leather :: 18'' M Sport Alloys :: Folding Mirrors :: Headlight Washers
Hi All
The car I am collecting next week is a UK Nov 04 with media pack and TV.
Someone mentioned on another post that the tv option of that time would not be digital.
Is it possible to mod/upgrade it to receive digital telly ?
What about watching DVDs ..is this possible ?
Cheers

Yes I think its possible but you will need to upgrade your TV module. There is also a digital TV retrofit kit available too. DVDs are possible too.

thanks Bruce, for now I am just curious to see if it is possible.
Once I have the car in my paws I will see what I have to play with and no doubt be on here asking for some advice.

Good for you but I'm actually surprised. Didn't realise that the digital tuners were in the first year models. But hey if you have it Great Stuff.

dont bother looking for a car with the TV. Its not worth the hassle and besides it only works when your stopped.

I also have tv as an option on my car...yes, when in digital mode, the picture is awesome....channels you get from tv in the car (digital channels) aren't even present at home.
when moving (it displays with no cut-off by adding a tv-free module), the pictures are more clear with less distortions compared to usual analog channels...
add a tv-free module so that it will display even in motion....

Since you have the OEM TV and the OEM ACM why dont you connect the TV via the ACM and them you dont need the TV-FREE module because on the ACM there are wires you can disconnect to get any input to work on the go.
