Hello,

The summer is coming Time to look for summer tyres

I want to make a decision summer rft 225 17 or 245/275 18. but don't know which one to choose.

What i hear is that 275/245 18inch is not so comfortable and in rainy weather it will be slippery.

Please share me your experience.

Regards,

Beano

If you put on wider and lower profile tyres the ride will be a little harsher.

Dry grip should improve a little.

Personally I would stick to 225's but move to non RFT's.

I have 225 no probs here, even these new GY rft has no noise at all really even on bumpy roads, but they will have to go when BIG brother will come in soem 20"s

I think size is nothing to do with slippery more the tires structure or the lamellas or how do you say?

My 19" Michelin PS2's are more comfortable than my previous 18" Dunlop runflats.

As long as you dont get runflats, I would not be too worried about any comfort issues on 18 or even 19 inch.
