I'm constantly buying the parts 61130005197 - BUSHING CONTACT and 61130005198 - PIN-CONTACT. These pin contact parts are used all over the car in various sockets and connector. However BMW rip us off with these parts and their price. These parts come with a foot long black wire attached to them and most often that wire is useless to me. Does anyone know the actual TYCO part number for just the contacts for these parts. That way I can connect my own cable to it. Where can I get this in the UK?
If you have done the AUX yourself using your own parts then you may be able to answer this.

Bruce,
Have you tried RS Components?? http://uk.rs-online.com
I did a search of Tyco in the Crimps section and came up with quite a selection. I think the AMPMODU are the ones Herr BMW uses, but I've never had any from there.
It may be worth buying a selection and compare to the original to get the exact match. I've used some Tyco crimps previously that were different to standard, but worked anyway!

Have you had a scroll (might be tedious!) through http://www.newark.com/jsp/search/browse.js...YCO+ELECTRONICS ?
